reactions, repercussions, and resignations

I recently penned this elsewhere:

Speaking as one of those people who will be boycotting Cooper Firearmsuntil such time as Dan Cooper steps down from being President of that company, I think it is safe to say that some of the people commenting on this post have limited to no understanding of the concepts of “consequences”, “repercussions”, and “voting with my dollar”.

Dan Cooper, and every other American citizen, is more than welcome to support whatever political candidate or cause he or she so desires. Have at it. More power to him/them.

That said, I do not have to agree with their decisions, and nor do I have to support them or those decisions.

Unfortunately, every action and decision has consequences (see Newton’s Third Law), and while Dan is more than free to support a Presidential candidate who is remarkably anti-rights, anti-firearms, and anti-Constitution, he had to understand that this support would generate a reaction among his customers. Customers who, by definition, own and buy firearms, and probably would like to keep owning and buying those firearms.

Rights have never been without responsibilities or repercussions, and this is simply another example of that truism. If Dan Cooper did not want to alienate his client base (who are, in all likelihood, largely pro-rights, pro-firearms, and pro-Constitution), he should not have supported a President who has come down firmly on the opposite side of the spectrum from those clients.

Just as we are free to vote in the polling booth come the 4th, we are *always* free to vote with our dollar, and I will simply not permit my hard-earned monies to be diverted to someone who will simply pass them on to a man eager and willing to infringe my rights.

And here I thought dissent was all patriotic and gosse? Oh, right, I forgot the “… but only if you are dissenting with a Republican/conservative,” addendum.
Sebastian and ThirdPower both have more. And, apparently, voting with one’s dollar is now “McCarthyism“… at least according the false-flag, anti-rights AHSA.

Hm. I think we need a Sluggy-style recap: Dan Cooper supports Senator Barack Hussein Obama – arguably, a man who would prove to be the most anti-gun President in history. Gunbloggers express their displeasure with this decision, and let him…
