So a little while ago, I had to take down my CafePress store since it was not making enough money to pay for its “premium” existence. The short explanation is that CafePress has free stores, and “premium” stores – in free stores, you can only have one design on any one item. In “premium” stores, you can have as many designs on as many items as you like (allowing for different lines, like my “Philosophy of Jayne”, “Philosophy of Mal”, etc.). Only they charge $50 a year for “premium” stores, and mine just was not cutting it, even with all of the “Philosophy of…” products in addition to the “People of the Gun” products.
Well, the good news is that I have had a little spare time recently, and, now, the “People of the Gun” merchandise store is once again functional. It currently only features the 1911 design, but I have made a few changes to a few of the designs, and added a couple new things (like the ever-so-nicely-embroidered hat to the right). At any rate, the current People of the Gun store web address is now http://www.cafepress.com/peopleofthegun, though future designs will have to have separate addresses… stand by for those at some point.
So, get out and spread the word… I suck at that kind of thing. Or head on over and start buying things – if the individual shops ever bother to make enough money, I might get around to opening a consolidated, easier-to-navigate “premium” shop again…
