So I will admit – I am one of those people who never takes the time to write to his or her representatives. And, I guess, the root cause could easily be ascribed to laziness – as this weblog indicates, I occasionally have difficulty putting my words to paper, be it physical or electronic. The last thing I would want to do is harm to any cause I support, and rather than risk that through an inadvertent comment or poorly-thought argument.
Of course, all of this could be alleviated if I just spent the time to sit down and think occasinoally, but… yeah, no excuse.
Regardless, thanks for putting up the form letter, so to speak… From there, people like me can edit the basic version to our little heart’s content, but still have a framework from which to work. Every little bit helps.
That’s a very nicely written letter! I occasionaly (rarely) write my representatives too, and with the usual disappointing results – a response in DoubleSpeak…
Unfortunately Feinstein is about as disengaged from California and its politics as can possibly be, and since the Democrat Central Committee is whole-owner of the majority of California’s voting districts that they gerrymandered, the entire Legislature is equally irresponsible and disengaged.
