I found today’s Quote of the Day, as delivered by my customized Google homepage (so very unfortunately called "iGoogle" now – I really, really wish that trend would curl up and die), rather interesting:

One has to wonder to what topic he was referring when he said those words, but they seem oddly appropriate for the current idiotic trend of "global warming" and "carbon offsets" – supposedly, the majority of the scientists of the world agree that "global warming" is both bad and our fault, so gullible/uneducated/downright-stupid people around the world are reaching for their wallets… and being had.
So… Mr. Chrichton is both a good author and a seer? Probably not the latter… though he is definitely the former. Regardless, as his books clearly show, he is someone intimately familiar with both science, and those people who use it as a substitute for religion.

… becomes a religion. A while back, I put up a post concerning an interesting quote by renown author Michael Chrichton. At the time, I wrote the post addressing it as an amusingly insightful comment from an author who knows…
