probably should have thought of that

So I took my XBox to visit Better Half (sad, I know, but we both enjoy the Burnout series, so I kind of have an excuse), and left a CD in it on its way back here (coincidentally, Revenge).  It went in my carry-on, but that was a backpack, so it was subjected to all manner of shaking around... and I did not really think about it until I got back home.  Once there, I attempted to extract the aforementioned CD by plugging in the and pressing the eject button.  Well, the tray popped out... minus the CD.

Crap.

Fifteen minutes later, after trying to figure out if I can get into the XBox body, realizing I lack both the tools and the nerve, and finally giving up and shaking the crap out of the machine, I get the CD out - surprisingly, in one piece.

Oh, you wanted your CD readable?  That may be another matter entirely - I have not yet tested it...  did not really feel up to it, after the sheer frustration of trying to get the bloody thing out.

So, for future reference...  XBoxes are not, I reapeat - not, suitable replacements for CD cases.  That, and they are just not cost-effective.
