Alright, so let me preface this with a few comments. First, I do not, in any way, support Barak Obama. While he appears to be one of the more moderate Democrats out there, he still supports universal health care, abolishment of estate tax cuts, pulling out of Iraq without providing any means of making the country more stable beforehand, and other such similar things... On the flip side, he supports internet neutrality, legalized abortion, consideration of Iran as a serious military threat to the US, and other issues I agree with. Of course, he persists in his "everyman" position, trying to appease all of the ethnical, political, and religious groups in the country, while doing his damnest not to offend any of them... This annoys me just from the fence-sitting, Janus-faced duplicity of it, as well as indicates his inability to chose one side or the other in a debate - potentially a damning shortcoming, at least in my eyes. I intensely dislike anyone who is not capable of making a decision given a certain set of data upon which to make that decision. Sure, it could be the wrong one (in fact, odds indicate that it will be the wrong one), but at least you have the nerve and leadership capacity to actually make a decision, instead of sitting there, pandering to everyone, and having a white, picket fence spike shoved up your arse.
Additionally, I kind of dislike YouTube. The pervasiveness of the videos on blogs, how long the stupid little "embed" scripts take to load, and the general cruddiness of most of the videos just gets on my nerves. That, and the infernal limitations of my supposedly "high" speed internet making the downloads somewhat painful... *shrugs* The idea is nice and all, but the quality is lacking, the download sizes are cumbersome, and the javascript/flash is annoying. So sue me. Please. I could use the distraction.
All that said, I do believe this video concerning Hillary Clinton to be worth your time. Not exactly the most original of ideas, stealing concepts from 1984 (which the creator admits to), Brave New World, and Equilibrium (which stole ideas from the previous two, granted), but its execution is not entirely lacking. Of course, it does not exactly portray anything specifically negative about Hillary, but it does show her fascination with her own voice, kind of indicates just how little she cares about the voice of the public (besides appeasing public opinion polls just to get election votes, that is), and shows just how important she views herself and her own viewpoint. Any way you cut it, God save us if she gets the Democractic primary votes, and all the gods in the universe save us if she wins the Presidency... much though I am not terribly fond of Mr. Obama, Hillary just sends full-blown epilepsy (no shivers here) up and down my spine, legs, arms, and everywhere else on me. And not the good kind, either.
Anywise, the film is only a minute and change long, so you surely have time for that. And you have to give the creators a little credit for the way it all fits together... Though I do have to wonder why the "revolutionary" was wearing an iPod... and apparently not a bra.
