This has been bugging me for a while, but what the hell is up with parking lots (namely the ones for my apartment complex) having a speed limit of 12 miles per hour? Why not 10? Why not 15? Why pick a number that most spedometers could not accurately show if their lives depended on it? I mean, sure, the enforcement methods for these speeds are somewhat lax (especially in my complex), but then why bother at all?
Yeah, long day.

Here’s another one. Pennsylvania is the only state I know of where stop signs don’t necessarily mean stop. There are stop signs with “except right” underneath in tiny letters. Stop signs with “left only” underneath in tiny letters. Etc. But they’re all octagonal, red stop signs.
Why have stop signs at all if they don’t mean stop? Why not just have yield signs?
Have to admit, that makes about as little sense… I have no idea why humans are so enamoured with the concept of overregulating themselves, but it surely does get old.
