tryptophan strikes again!

Well, I hope everyone had an outstanding Thanksgiving.  Better Half and I stayed at home, and cooked up our own meal (the first one together and alone, in fact), to some substantial degree of success.  We made use of a slow-roaster we received for our wedding to take care of the turkey, and it worked beautifully - to the point where he fell apart when we were attempting to remove him.  The break from work was definitely welcome, and, of course, being able to spend time with my wife was always a joy.  We were actually surprisingly successful in our Christmas shopping, and somehow managed to take advantage of all of the Black Friday sales and discounts we wanted, without having to brave the murderous crowds at the ass-crack of dawn, instead leaving home around 9ish.  I can live with that.

As an aside, Wizbang Tech is holding a competition for a PS3 giveaway...  I cannot say as though I am remarkably impressed with the reviews and hype surrounding this particular gaming platform, but I figure that a one in 25 chance at a free one is not something to be overlooked.  I already have my name in the final drawing, so if you all want to head over and take part in the most recent challenge, have at it.  They are actually a few days behind on the challenges, so keep your eyes peeled for the new ones, and best of luck (on the challenges...  I am winning the final raffle .)!

Look for posting to pick up over the next few days, with possibly the longest post I have ever written right around the corner...
